This is the weekend that Dallas met Atlanta in so many amazing ways. I had met Elizabeth and James in the summer when they visited Atlanta to plan their Buckhead Theater wedding for the Winter. Fast forward to December and what a great weekend we got to spend with them! Their Peachtree Road United Methodist Church ceremony fell right at twilight and everyone decamped to the Buckhead Theater shortly thereafter. Having spent close to 18 years in Atlanta, I was excited to see the old Roxy theater’s renovations made the space the ideal place to celebrate their wedding reception. Christina Zubowicz and Suzanne Reinhard from Magnolia Weddings produced the whole event flawlessly and A Legendary Event did a spectacular job as well.
One of the nicest developments since their wedding has been seeing Elizabeth and James at his sister Katherine’s wedding in Dallas and shooting some baby announcement photos as well. Congratulations all around! And that is one of the nicest things about getting to do what we do. Its like we get to drop into concentric circles of friends and family and tell their own story of community, of friendship and love. We have been to Dallas three times since James and Elizabeth’s wedding and gotten to know a new set of amazing people each time we go. It makes us quite grateful to be photographers doing what we do.
